What is a Cottage Bakery?
A cottage bakery is a small bakery operated out of a home and must follow the cottage food laws of the state they operate in. This food is made in a home kitchen and is not inspected by the Department of State Health Services or a local health department. The food can be ordered or purchased online or in person but must be delivered to the customer in person (not shipped).
