I know more about ISBN numbers than I ever wanted to now.
Children's books must be laid out in multiples of four. Your pages must be one of those magical numbers. You must adjust accordingly.
What exactly is expected of a copyright page is debatable.
There are a LOT of fonts in this world.
Doing all this for the first time is hard. We are just figuring it out as we go, and watching some great YouTube videos. No kidding. I am putting the SELF in self-publishing.
Some days I wonder what I've gotten myself into.
Here is what I know, though:
I LOVE children's books.
I love reading to children.
I love books.
I love children.
And I have a lot of things to say. I have so many ideas in my head that need to come out in book form. I absolutely cannot wait to see my book on shelves in libraries and bookstores.
Therefore, I will continue to teach myself about ISBN numbers, copyright information, layouts, fonts, and legal matters if it gets me in front of a group of kids listening to me reading my book.
I expect a big goal to be met by the end of this month! Thank you for cheering me on!
