I launched my new book, Homeschool Days: A Look Back at Nearly 20 Years of Homeschooling, at the end of August. I did a little Facebook Live where I explained to my viewers that if they would buy their copy from me directly, they could save a little money and I would make about double the profit. That's important right now, as my husband lost his job of almost 24 years at the end of May. I have been hoping that this book would help make us a little money. I mean, if I were independently wealthy, I would just publish books for the fun of it. As it is, I hope I can make some money for all the time and hours I spent working on it. Authoring is a job, but not always a lucrative one.
So I ordered "author copies," thirty to be exact, at cost and waited for them to arrive. It takes a while. And then it was going to be at the end of the date range, not the beginning. And then Hurricane Francine messed up the delivery further. But FINALLY...they arrived! And they are beautiful. And I got them ready to give to my lovely friends who ordered from me. And I had a photoshoot with them too because they are gorgeous.
This is the fun part, y'all. Writing it was fun, but getting to share it is just the best. Thank you to my friends who ordered from me.
If you don't live locally to me, I hope you will order from Amazon. I'm sorry you won't get the cute stuff (I wish everyone could), but you will get it faster. Here's the link!
Happy Reading!
Brenda
